The youngest Test team in the circuit, Bangladesh have just turned 100. They were able to make their landmark Test even more memorable by winning it on Sunday (March 19), becoming only the fourth side after Australia, West Indies and Pakistan to achieve the rare feat.

It was way back in 2000 that Bangladesh were inducted into the Test fold, when many felt that Bangladesh were not ready for the upgrade. And for many years, their lacklustre performances in all forms of the game proved naysayers right. However, they plodded on. And today, their opponents are not as dismissive of them as they were till some years ago.

The highlight of Bangladesh’s first 100 Tests would have to be their series win in the West Indies in 2009, albeit against a very depleted home side. In their 100th Test, at P Sara Oval in Colombo, they posed a sound challenge to the Sri Lankans, which eventually won them the Test match.

Given below is an overall record summary of teams at the end of their 100th Tests, and also a statistical survey on how the ten Test teams fared at the end of their respective 100th Test.
