Team news
Australia: Aaron Finch and Josh Hazlewood have been left out, Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar are playing.

New Zealand: Nathan McCullum has been left out of the side that beat India by 47 runs, with Mitchell McClenaghan included. Trent Boult and Tim Southee continue to sit out.

What they said

Kane Williamson: The pitch looks pretty dry and will be nice to use it first. We’ve made one change from the game at Nagpur. It’s nice to get a win early and hope we can make adjustments on a new wicket.

Steven Smith: I would have batted first as well, it looks dry. But we’ll have to bat well. It’s a new start and we’ve played well against New Zealand recently. We have a strong squad of 15, we’ve picked a squad who we think will do the job in these conditions.

Tournament: This is 17th match of the World T20 and the fifth in the Super 10 stage. The top two teams from each group will go through to the semifinals. New Zealand have already got a win under their belt, while this is Australia’s first match.

Conditions: The weather in Dharamsala has been under the scanner, with rain lashing the hill-town over the last two weeks. The ground was under covers on Thursday but it’s bright now. The pitch is expected to be slow and should help spinners.
