Sarfraz Ahmed, the Pakistan captain, won the toss and opted to bowl against Sri Lanka in the second of three Twenty20 Internationals in Abu Dhabi on Friday (October 27).
Sri Lanka: Unchanged.
Series: After losing 0-2 to Sri Lanka in the Tests, Pakistan bounced back commendably to complete a 5-0 clean sweep in the One-Day Internationals. They continued their form in the first T20I, winning by seven wickets with 2.4 overs to spare after bowling Sri Lanka out for just 102. Usman Shinwari was the star, with a pacy and hostile spell up front.
Sri Lanka have not been in the best of form in limited-overs cricket and if they lose here, they will have lost the T20I series as well.
Conditions: This is the second match at this venue in two days, and there is likely to be some wear and tear on the surface. That won’t bode well for Sri Lanka, whose batsmen have already been struggling in limited-overs encounters.
Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed (capt, wk), Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Usman Shinwari.
Sri Lanka: Dilshan Munaweera, Danushka Gunathilaka, Ashan Priyanjan, Mahela Udawatte, Sadeera Samarawickrama (wk), Dasun Shanaka, Sachith Pathirana, Thisara Perera (capt), Seekkuge Prasanna, Isuru Udana, Vikum Sanjaya.
