Special Binny century adds to Delhi’s misery
Allrounder slams 118 to go with Mayank Agarwal’s 176 and Shreyas Gopal pitches in with 92 as Karnataka put up 649 in first innings
Unmukt Chand was barely 17 when he made his Ranji Trophy debut for Delhi and went on to score a superb 151 off 291 balls in his fourth first-class match against the Railways in December 2010. He then captained the India Under-19 side less than a year later. A right-handed opener, Chand has been impressive in the opportunities he has got at first-class level, though his limited-overs career has had a relatively slower start. However, his steady rise in 2010 saw IPL side Delhi Daredevils snap him up for the 2011 tournament. His coach for club side LB Shastri is Sanjay Bhardwaj, who is also the coach of Gautham Gambhir.
