Wakhare spins Vidarbha to second consecutive win
Maharashtra subside to 162 all out after offspinner takes six, with Sarwate grabbing the other four wickets
Harshad Khadiwale is a right-handed opening batsman who scored a century on debut for Maharashtra Under-14 against Saurashtra in January 2002. That caught the eye of the state junior selectors and he continued his good work in age-group cricket to earn a berth in the India Under-19 squad for the tour to England in 2006. On his return from the tour, he made his Ranji Trophy debut for Maharashtra. Khadiwale has been a regular in the team’s line-up since then, and though Maharashtra were knocked out by Tamil Nadu in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy, he finished the season strongly with centuries in his last two matches.
