Robin Bist became just the twelfth batsman in the history of Ranji cricket to score more than 1000 runs in a season - a feat he achieved in 2011-12, when he averaged an astonishing 86.16 while amassing 1034 runs in Rajasthan's successful defence of the title. Over the year, he made four centuries and the same number of half-centuries in his most career-defining season yet. Bist already has a good aggressive game and can also play a defensive role when needed. He made his first-class debut against Delhi in 2007 aged 20, and in just his fourth match he came agonizingly close to a maiden century, falling for 99 against Karnatka. Bist plays for Delhi Daredevils in the IPL.
