  Commentary

  • Player of the match - Washington Sundar

  • That's all ladies and gentlemen from us. We will be back tomorrow for the Eliminator where Kolkata face Hyderabad at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. By the way, here is the match report for today's game:

  • All round Pune storm into IPL 10 final

Rahane Tiwary and Dhoni do the job with the bat before Washington and Thakur do the needful with the ball in 20 run win over Mumbai

  • Washington Sundar (MoM): I think it is very heartening to do well against such a big team, against packed stadium at such a big stage. This (award) goes back to my mom and dad back home. I think keeping things simple makes me do things well and I wish to continue like this in the final as well. Mahi bhai has been very supportive. I do not believe that I would be able to experiment much. It has been going really good for me so far and I think we can go to the finals and lift the trophy.

  • Steve Smith: It has been a good year. We have beaten them three times this year. Big game, big players stood up. MS was magnificent, Tiwary and Rahane batted beautifully. We felt 160 was a very good total. Really proud the boys. We executed the plans well, tried to take the pace off the ball. There was actually a bit of dew and ball was getting a little bit wet. But the pitch stayed same throughout the match. (On Sundar): Magnificent. Big stage and it is never easy in the first six over and he is been really good. We have got a break, will try to relax come back and hopefully be the better team in the finals.

  • Rohit Sharma: I think 160 was below par, to be honest. But we didn't have enough partnerships. Hence it became difficult to chase the target. We always knew the wickets was gonna play slow but having said that we have played enough games here to understand that. Losing wickets in the middle is always tough though. I think it is important to have good shot selection, you have to understand and respect the conditions and situation and try to create partnerships and hit those gaps and take the game until the end. We have lost the games before and it is not the end of the world. We will go back and see what we can do in Bangalore.

  • Parthiv and Simmons gave Mumbai a decent start but after that Sundar picked two wickets in one over to jolt the Mumbai Indians and they couldn't recover after that. Parthiv tried to hold the innings together but wickets kept on falling at the other end. Unadkat bagged only one wicket but bowled beautifully and gave just 24 from his quota of four overs. Overall a good performance in the field by Pune and they deserved to win this one. Mumbai though still have one more chance.

  Full commentary

  • Mumbai struck early with the wickets of Tripathi and Smith but Rahane (56 off 43) stitched a good partnership with Tiwary (58 off 48) to settle the things. A late flourish by MS Dhoni, 40 off 26 balls with 5 sixes, helped Pune put a decent total on the board. Krunal Pandya and Malinga were the best bowlers for Mumbai as Pune scored 162 for 4 off their 20 overs. But would that be enough to seal a spot in the final? Stay tuned to find out.

  • History beckons Kolkata Mumbai

Both teams have the chance to become the first to win three titles while Hyderabad are on course to emulate Chennai

  • Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Tripathi come to open the innings, Mitchell McClenaghan with the ball.

  • Steve Smith: Very humid. The dew is gonna be a factor. We played some good cricket. It gives us a second chance if we don't do well here. Hopefully, we can have a good match tonight. One change today, Stokes is back home and Lockie Ferguson comes in.

  • Rohit Sharma: We will field first. Looks a good wicket, nice and flat. It has always helped the chasing side. As the dew sets in the second half, it's good to have a target to chase. What happened in the late stages doesn't really matter much. You are gonna carry good things from league matches and look forward to batting, bowling and fielding well. We have four changes. Mitchell McClenaghan, Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga and Parthiv Patel are back in the side.

  • Mumbai Indians Won the Toss & Elected to Field

  • Hello and welcome to the first qualifier of IPL 2017. It is Rising Pune Supergiant who will face the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.   Full commentary
