Toss: Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain, won the toss and opted to bat against Windies in the third and final Twenty20 International at Bay Oval on Mount Maunganui on Wednesday (January 3).

Series: After sweeping the two-Test series and then the three One-Day Internationals, New Zealand won the first T20I in Nelson on December 29 comprehensively by 47 runs. The second game was washed out by rain after New Zealand raced to 102 for 4 in nine overs, courtesy Colin Munro’s 66 off 23.

Conditions: It’s bright and sunny in Mount Maunganui, but rain has been forecast for the second half of the match.
