What they said
David Warner: We played here in the last game and got to know the surface. (There was) a bit of rain yesterday, (so the ball) might swing as there is some grass.
Rohit Sharma: We were looking to bowl first as well. The grass cover will keep the bounce even. We know what to do as a batting group: Put up a score and defend. The last game in particular didn’t go the way we wanted to. Hopefully now is the right time.
Conditions: The pitch looks decent for batting; it’s humid, but not unbearably hot.
Tournament: Mumbai lost their inaugural game against Rising Pune Supergiants by nine wickets at home before opening their account against Kolkata Knight Riders with a six-wicket win at Eden Gardens but then lost by three wickets to Gujarat Lions at home in their third game. They are currently placed sixth on the table. Hyderabad lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata by 45 runs and eight wickets respectively in their first two games and are at the bottom of the table.
